Lower Order Teams are Gaining Momentum in the IPL
At the start of Indian Premier League 2011 (IPL), there were many twists in the game where teams who had showed good performances, were shattered and put to defeat by the newest entries. Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Pune Warriors India gave an magnificent start in the IPL with a good run rate. Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders who were not performing in their previous editions were also showing some beauties in the game.
Teams like Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils, Deccan Chargers were the teams who looked dangerous. But the start for them was disappointing as they lost many matches that too back to back. The teams which were at the bottom have started to produce some magnificent performances which has shocked the IPL itself. The teams have started to move up the ranking table.
Mumbai Indians as of now, are the strongest team in this IPL edition. They have lost only 1 match so far. After MI, the fight is going between rest of the teams to top the next 3 positions to enter the play-off round.
The entry of Chris Gayle has boosted the morale of Royal Challengers Bangalore team. The highest IPL innings total put by Delhi Daredevils has given some confidence to the team. Similarly, Deccan Chargers after restricting KTK to only 74 runs have gained some confidence and are looking forward to get into the top 4 of the ranking table.
But we cannot predict anything, there are lots of action out there despite reports of TV ratings being down. Still plenty of matches yet to be played. All we can do is to just wait and watch and keep supporting our favorite teams.
