Easier Sharing in Google Docs
Today's web is all about real-time access to information and sharing regardless of your location. There are some virtual playgrounds online that enable virtual sharing and Google Docs is one of them.
Today, however, sharing got a little easier and more secure:
Starting today, documents, spreadsheets and presentations can be identified as “Private,” “Anyone with a link” or “Public on the web.” All docs start out as private by default, as was the case before.
The new visibility options appear as a link next to the title of every document. When users click the link or the “Share” button, it takes them straight to the new interface where they can see who has access, manage sharing access and invite others to share the doc.
The improvements have started to roll out and should be available to everyone in the next week, according to Google.
These changes are some of many that Google rolled out recently. For those that are using Google Apps, check out Google's post on the Enterprise Blog, which covers how users can share docs more easily within their organization.
