“Merchant of Death” Picked Up In Thailand

The one some have called “the merchant of death” was recently apprehended in Bangkok, Thailand where he may have run an international base of arms dealing to terrorists. Viktor Bout is suspected of supplying weapons to the Taliban and Al Qaeda and of pouring huge arms shipments into civil wars in Africa with his own private air fleet. Over the years, this guy and associates operated an arms bazaar, selling guns, ammunition, even tanks and helicopters in deals that inflamed conflicts in Afghanistan, Angola, Congo, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Sudan.
