As many of you know, a 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card sold for an astonishing $1.62 million dollars at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago last week. As it turns out, the company that headed the auction, Mastro Auctions was served a subpoena by the F.B.I for something we collectors have to deal with on a daily basis through eBay.

Anyone who collected baseball cards is familiar with the Honus Wagner story. When the 1909 baseball card set was released Wagner demanded that his card be pulled and only 100 were made. Now only ten or so of those cards are still in existence and the card is the single most sought after by baseball card collectors.
