HD DVD promotional group officially disbands Though nearly everyone has already left the HD DVD camp, the HD DVD Promotional Group officially dissolved last week, marking the absolute death of the format -- or at least, the end of any promotion for it. Fading away gently, the HD DVD specification remains under the DVD Forum, but the format itself is unlikely to go anywhere now.
