    NBC-WSJ POLL: NEW CLINTON LOWS

    http://uspolitics.biz/index.php/nbc-wsj-poll-new-clinton-low...
21 days ago in US Politics · Authority: 7

NBC-WSJ POLL: NEW CLINTON LOWS Filed under: Uncategorized — Kurt @ 6:30 pm The latest NBC/ Wall Street Journal poll shows Clinton popularity dropping precipitously. She is now viewed favorably by 37% of the country, and unfavorably by 48%, down from 45-43 in early March. (Obama’s rating is 49-32, and John Mccaib’s is 45-25.) Now, it’s possible this is a reflection of the Tuzla flap. But the poll seems to show that Obama has survived the Jeremiah Wright controversy: As for the damage this controversy did or didn’t do to Obama, it’s a mixed bag. Yes, Obama saw some of his numbers go down slightly among certain voting groups, most notably Republicans. But he’s still much more competitive with independent voters when matched up against John McCain than Hillary Clinton is. And he still sports a net-positive personal rating of 49-32, which is down only slightly from two weeks ago, when it was 51-28. Again, the biggest shift in those negative numbers were among Republicans. Clinton’s only chance of persuading superdelegates to override the elected delegates is to render Obama completely unelectable. Clinton can succeed in hurting Obama — and, indeed, his lead against McCain has disappeared in most polls — but she’ll end up hurting herself even more. Its gonna be more fun as Hillary gets more desperate. Comments (0)

Obama's Popularity increases/ North Carolina rebuffs him/ Hillary's "Keystone" State lead Narrows!

    http://votemecool.blogspot.com/2008/04/obamas-popularity-inc...

Obama's Popularity Increases! Recent Poll results reveal that Obama's popularity continues to increase in spite of the Wright controversy, while Hillary's is going down hill fast! It appears as if Obama encouraging Hillary to remain in the race is working FOR him NOT against him. Here's what the latest report on the Poll results from First Read @MSNBC states: Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37 percent positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll has recorded since March 2001, two months after she was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York. The poll was conducted Monday and Tuesday this week by Hart-McInturff and surveyed 700 registered voters, which gives the poll a margin of error of +/- 3.7 percent. In addition, we oversampled African-Americans in order to get a more reliable cross-tab on many of the questions we asked in this poll regarding Sen. Barack Obama's speech on race and overall response to last week's Rev. Jeremiah Wright dustup. On that issue specifically, 32 percent of voters overall said Obama "sufficiently addressed the issue," while 26 percent of folks believe he needs to address the Wright controversy further; 31 percent did not see the speech or had no opinion. Interestingly, of those voters who said they saw the speech, 47 percent said Obama sufficiently addressed the Wright issue while 37 percent said he needs to address it further. Among whites, 45 percent were satisfied with Obama's explanation, 38 percent were not. Among blacks, 67 percent said the speech was sufficient, while 25 percent want him to address it further. Overall, 55 percent of voters told us that they were "disturbed" by the videos of Wright that circulated so widely on cable TV and the Internet. In essence Obama has proven his resilience and when matched up against Republican opponent John McCain, Obama has a net-positive personal rating of 49-32. 60% of the American Voters believe that Obama will be Successful at uniting the Country, versus 46% who believe that Hillary can do the job. In the general-election matchups, Obama led McCain by 2 points, and McCain led Clinton by 2 points. Considering the "doom-and-gloom" some predicted for Obama with regard to the Wright controversy, the overall tenor of the electorate appears to still be favorable for him. He's mortal, but he's survived! To sum it all up when the Clintons tried to ATTACK Obama or Assassinate his Character (Modern day Lynching), instead of "going ghetto" on Hillary which is probably what she expected him to do, he allowed those attacks to roll off of his back like water rolls of a duck's back. He is basically "killing" Hillary with Kindness, which has earned him much Respect from the Voters. Don't get it twisted! He did NOT ignore the attacks because he did address most of them, but he also has remained Positive and continued to Focus on the Issues. In doing so he gained the Confidence of the People. North Carolina tries to Rebuff Obama's Endorsements! Earlier this week the Wall Street Journal (the group responsible for helping to conduct this Poll) reported that apparently 7 of the North Carolina Democratic Party's Superdelegates are endorsing Obama. Well........ As I've said several times previously N.C. has historically NOT been very supportive of Black Political Candidates. When this report hit some the News Media entities in North Carolina, they immediately set to "cast doubt" on the report by trying to make the Wall Street Journal look stupid. Everyone and their "Mama" knows that the Wall Street Journal (owned by Billionaire Rupert Murdoch) has an IMPECCABLE Reputation and would NOT have published that story if it were NOT true! The WSJ's refusal to reveal their sources doesn't mean the story was false. The mere fact that the Wall Street Journal has won 33 Pulitzer Prizes for Journalism proves their Credibility in Reporting. This appears to be another tatic that the North Carolina Media is using to push Clinton to the Forefront of the State's Superdelegates' minds ONLY because she is Caucasian, NOT because she is the better Candidate. Instead of the North Carolina Media focusing on the 7 Democratic Superdelegates's endorsement of Obama as a demonstration of their helping to UNIFY the Party, once again they are causing Division and promoting a Superior vs Inferior Mentality among the Region's White and Black Voters. Hillary IS a Strong Competitor but she is NOT going to beat Obama during that state's Primary regardless of how fiercely some of the Media and Leaders try to rebuff him! Hillary's "Keystone" State Lead over Obama Narrows I guess it doesn't matter to North Carolina that Former S.C. Governor Jim Hodges, has endorsed Obama and is now Co-Chairman of his National Campaign. Hillary's lead in Pennsylvania is beginning to narrow but I guess even that doesn't matter. Looks like the ONLY hurdle Obama will have to overcome in the "Tarheel" state is RACISM! It is an absolute SHAME that in some states (North & South) this Election is more about Ethnicity then it is about Issues or Voting for the Right Candidate. For the Leaders and Citizens of North Carolina who have BOLDLY decided to endorse and Vote for him anyway, GO FOR IT! Pennsylvania's Primary is April 22nd. North Carolina's is May 6. Get out and Vote! Way to go Obama! We can STILL do it dude! Delegate Fight Info. Democratic Delegates to Win 2,025 Obama 1,632 Clinton 1,500 Republican Delegates to Win 1,191 McCain 1,334 Huckabee 278 Graphic: Superdelegates Count Sources: FirstRead @MSNBC, Hart-McInturff, Wall Street Journal, CNN Political Ticker, Wikipedia.org, Charlotte.com, McClatchy Newspapers, Chicagotribune.com, rockthevote.com Photos courtesy of: Flickr Subscribe to my feed
