Dawn of a new day 09 May tagged as recohan , Sakamoto Miu It’s so much more haunting in person. But I finally have a copy of Sakamoto Miu’s DAWN PINK, my number one recohan obsession for … um, multiple years. It took a very long time to get here, and I am not all that happy with the person I bought it from for describing its condition as “near mint.” (It’s not. Not too bad, but Otokichi Premium’s grading scale would call it a B-. There’s water damage to a portion of the lyrics booklet, two scratches and a weird mark on the disc, some bending on the corners of the cardboard sleeve…) But it’s an album that’s going on ten years old, out of print for about seven, and I’ll take what I can get as long as I can say I have it.
