It looks like a spaceship -- but it is, in fact, a car. (What does this have to do with Christian school leadership? See below.) This car is built by Aptera Motors and is planned to come to market in 2008. The Aperta comes in two models: an all electric plug-in (about $27,000), and a hybrid (about $30,000). The high-efficiency hybrid model can achieve a claimed astounding 300mpg with it's hybrid electric diesel engine, making it one of the most fuel efficient cars in world. The car weights approximately 850 pounds due to its construction from advanced composites.
