Safari reaches 100/100 Acid3 status, beaten by Opera

Acid3 is a series of tests for web browsers that I’ve mentioned several times before. The Safari team has been working relentlessly at achieving a perfect 100/100 score for the suite of tests. Last night, Safari reached it. It’s the perfect browser. No more work is needed. Not really, but it’s clear that Safari’s team is ready to take on any challenges the web standards community wants to throw at it. While Safari has reached that mystical ratio, Opera got there first. Don’t expect to go to that browser’s website and download a copy of the compatible version because it’s not available.
