Rev. Wright, anti-Semitism, and “Rich, White Romans.” Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has gained some notoriety lately. But one aspect of his hate-filled remarks hasn’t gotten enough attention — his teaching that “rich, white Romans” killed a black Jesus. This is an adaptation of a hoary-headed, anti-Semitic argument. Anti-Semites persecuted Jews for centuries as “Christ-killers.” Wright demonizes whites in the same way.
