Toronto mayor gets his arse kicked by his beloved unions This is just deliciously funny for me: A strike brought Canada's largest transit system grinding to a halt Friday night as Toronto's bus and subway workers walked off the job after rejecting a tentative contract agreement. Why is this so funny? For a number of reasons. First, David Miller, the mayor of Toronto, is a dyed-in-the-wool communist – he is so far to the left that even the NDP didn't want him anymore. As a communist, naturally, he kisses labour union butt all the time (and even enjoys it), which is why he was so quick to give in to the TTC union's blackmail.
