Habs Lose Ferland, Sign White

RDS is reporting that the Montreal Canadiens have lost Jonathan Ferland to an Austrian team. Also the Habs have signed Ryan White of the Calgary Hitmen. Ferland who seemed to be a career minor leaguer, chose to go and sign in Europe. Probably a wise decision as the Habs were never going to bring him to the big leagues. Ferland played a couple of games in the NHL, but never showed any kind of readiness to remain there. There were no rumours that any of the other 29 NHL teams were interested in him, which is why Ferand most likely chose to play for a European team.
