Thor's Roller Coaster More Than Twice Height of Cyclone
http://www.brownstoner.com/ brownstoner/ archives/ 2008/ 05/ thors_roller_co.php
We just recieved word that "Reithoffer is bringing a giant new coaster (the Indianapolis 500) that is roughly 200 feet by 200 feet" this summer to Coney Island. Joseph Sitt, founder of Thor Equities, is leasing his vacant Stillwell Avenue property to Reithoffer Shows for a temporary gig this summer (see post from earlier today). We speculated he might be trying to prove to the city that he can in fact operate an amusement park - by upping the ante on mainstays Astroland and Deno's Wonder Wheel Park. Coney Island's landmarked and only roller coaster the Cyclone, Astroland's main attraction, is 85 feet tall and 2,640 feet wide.
