  Who is the most liberal in San Francisco? Posted by Jonathan Williams on Mar 30th, 2008 2008 Mar 30 Well here is something you don’t see everyday. Two liberal groups, an animal activist group and an artist, got into a little dispute about who could be the most liberal. You see, liberals are all about free speech in art unless you are killing some animal or doing something to offend Muslims. This case has to do with the former. The French artist’s display includes several different animals, including a horse, getting bludgeoned over the head with a mallet until they are dead. This of course set the two groups at odds and threats started to fly. However, no matter how “right” the animal rights group may be, threats to kill the children of the artist and the art gallery owners isn’t the best, or most sane, way to respond. Personally, I think both groups are pretty sick, twisted, and demented. The artist and the art gallery people are pretty sick for doing/allowing such a thing to be shown while calling it “art” and the animal rights people for thinking that the killing animals is worth threatening to end a child’s life. To take a quote from the “Say Anything Blog” that I got this article from, I don’t understand either thing and I hope to God I never do. There’s something seriously wrong with both sides. Liberalism

  I'm glad this was released and have had the chance to watch it. I can't say that it's the best short film I've ever seen, but it does make many good points. I didn't see this film as anti-Islam so much as anti-Islamist. Since Muslim extremists justify their barbarism from the Qur'an I believe the verses used in this film are legitimate points to raise. This doesn't say much about the religion itself, after all the Bible has some hair-raising verses as well, but it does in how it's practiced by many. All in all though, I really don't care if anyone is offended. I'm offended by many Muslims who use their faith to justify this savagery, excuse it or simply ignore it. Turn your religion into an evil ideology and you can expect a negative reaction. Those who are Muslim and do not believe as the Islamists do have the unfortunate responsibility to turn this around. It may seem unfair but frankly TFB. If Christians were doing likewise you'd better believe I'd be holding their feet to the fire. Yet unlike Islam, Christianity went through the Renaissance, Reformation, Counter-Reformation, Enlightenment, etc. It's time that Islam faces the same. Edin has a good defamation case and will undoubtedly pursue it. UPDATE: And the hits keep on coming (h/t Gateway Pundit)... Former Dutch Labour Party politician Ehsan Jami, the founder of the Committee of ex-Muslims, has announced that he is producing an anti-Islamic cartoon called The Life of Muhammad. It will be released on the 20th of April. The film will show a sexually aroused Prophet Muhammad with his nine-year-old wife Aisha. Members of the Dutch Muslim and government contact organisation, CMO, who have viewed a section of the film, say they will go to court in an attempt to have The Life of Muhammad banned. The organisation has described the film as totally unacceptable and extremely offensive. (Radio Netherlands) This film may indeed be offensive, but TFB because freedom of speech is not trumped by personal sensitivities. If I have to tolerate anti-Christian films like The Last Temptation of Christ, Muslims can damn well do likewise with this one. Of course in the case of The Last Temptation it was such a long and boring movie that the fact it was controversial when released in 1988 is amazing now. The only part of that film that was even remotely intriguing was, well, the last temptation scene even if they spoiled it by being overly graphic.

  Fitna is up and the Islamic community has already begun trying to censor it. The YouTube version is already flagged and sites hosting it have suffered attacks, specifically Geert Wilders sites have been having problems today. Michelle Malkin, The U.A.C. and Gateway Pundit all have the film and coverage. Here’s the movie, take the time to sit through it and see Wilders message. It’s one we need to hear in the West. Time tends to dull the shock of Islamic atrocity on the West, but in the short film format it is easier to conceptualize the threat against Western Civilization.
