Transformers 2 Filming Underway? Barricade Spotted!

A set of photos sent over by a friend this afternoon might lead you to believe that the filming of Transformers 2 is getting close to being underway. The pictures were snapped from a camera phone in Culver City, and they are clearly Saleen Mustangs with the Decepticon logo on the side. This just might prove that even if things have not started yet, they are getting close. We reported not long ago that Michael Bay worked on the story during the Writer's Strike and that writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman were excited to get things underway.

Barricade Spotted in the Wild

They are Saleen Mustangs with the Decepticon logo on the side panels. Note that multiple cars are used for filming. Rumors suggest that Transformers 2 filming may be in preparation, though I’d hesitate - we’ll probably have to wait a little longer.

Un sito ha infatti pubblicato le immagini di alcuni “Barricade“: si tratta di un Decepticon che ha la capacità di trasformarsi in auto della Polizia (e difatti le auto sono delle volanti della polizia, fittizie ovviamente). I veicoli venivano trasportati a Culver City, e sono dei Saleen Mustang con il logo dei Decepticon su un lato. Potete vedere le immagini cliccando qui o sulla foto: Le riprese del film di Michael Bay inizieranno ufficialmente a giugno, ma sicuramente le scene d’azione senza il cast sono già in fase di progettazione, e i set sono in fase di realizzazione. E’ probabile che i veicoli verranno utilizzati per girare alcune di queste scene nelle prossime settimane, mentre a giugno inizieranno le riprese con il cast di attori. La sceneggiatura del film è attualmente nella fase finale di scrittura, ma la produzione del film si preannuncia al fulmicotone in modo da poter consegnare il tutto entro meno di un anno e mezzo: diretto da Michael Bay, Transformers 2 esce infatti il 26 giugno 2009. Le riprese inizieranno a giugno e i preparativi sono gia in atto. Ecco alcune foto che mostrano le auto della polizia (probabilmente Barricade, uno dei Decepticon) che vengono spostate a Culver City. They spotted Saleen Mustangs aka Barricade (the cop car for those of you who aren’t Transformers fanatics…if you exist (To enslave and punish…man I LOVE Decepticons)) being towed somewhere. The pictures, found on the Film School Reject link above were taken with a camera phone from another car. That just tickles me. Now, I know, I’ve devoted the last few posts to just plain bashing on sequels, but I just can’t help myself in this case. I loved loved LOVED Transformers. The effects were breathtaking, the cast was amazing…it was just absolutely perfect. And I want more. I was disappointed when they left out my favorite character, Soundwave, who is a Decepticon, and second-in-command in the cartoons. Starscream only thought he was as cool as Soundwave… Anyway, enough of that nerdiness…I’m excited for a Transformers 2 as of now…we’ll see as more information pours in how I feel.
