This is a small (10 x 7") watercolor scene from Block Island that is pretty typical of the island...stone walls, salt box cottages and very scenic. The only way to get to the beach below (this is actually a view from the very windy parking area above the beach) is to know it's there or go exploring down an unpaved road. This area we did plein air painting two different times and neither painting came out as I liked. This island is great to go exploring, on foot or on a bike and I've gotten lots of great photos for painting references. Thought for today is from Dr. Seuss: "Today you are You, that is truer than true.
