The Paranoid Guide to Better Living: TSA Offers Radiation or Groping
And now your host, Paranoia:
The outrage is growing. All over the internet, in airports, airline worker unions and Ralph Nader - the outrage over the new TSA security rules is growing. Me? I'm not outraged. I'm just curious as to why our Federal Government is basically strip searching airline passengers. Opt out of the strip search and you get a pat down a cop would give a cocaine dealer. All up in deez nuts.
The internet is going half-baked on this, but it's pretty clear what is going on here. We are no longer living in a democracy. In the veil of National Security, we are slowly but surely being transitioned to a Socialist Dictatorship with hints of Theocracy & Communistic intentions, based on the fear and willingness of the people to forfeit their rights in lieu of a false sense of security. Well, now the Government has gone too far, and the people are starting to get pissed off.
There are organizations popping up urging people to protest through civil obedience. There are pilots, not just some random passenger, but pilots rebelling against the new procedures. It's nearing chaos.
Then of course there are well written, composed and level headed responses like this one by GeekDad editor Matt Blum. It mostly focuses on how to prepare your children for the new TSA procedures. So what about the children? The TSA really doesn't address them in depth on their site, especially when it comes to special needs kids.
Kids aside, what about victims of sexual assault? You think they want to be groped by some inbred halftard wearing gloves and looking at them crooked? Not to mention the bonehead behind the computer screen, hopefully not snapping pictures on the cell phone they aren't supposed to take with them to work. But really, TSA agents are one step above mall security guards, and we're trusting them with this kind of privacy invasion and security? All it takes is one halfway shady TSA agent to start stealing pictures from the X-ray machine. It can be done.Continued on the next page
