The Masculine w/o the Feminine is MADNESS!
I just watched Frontline's Kill/Capture Episode on PBS, and I am appalled at the tactics being applied to democratize Afghanistan (and I use the term democratize loosely).
And while I have great empathy for our soldiers, and the position they have been put in, I also have great vehemence towards our leadership for the ignorant and foolish strategy of kill/capture (as if the two words are interchangeable?)
And the reason is simple. THEIR CULTURE IS SO VERY DIFFERENT! And who are we to enforce our version of culture onto them? Besides, without the effective application of the feminine synergies (cultivation and nurturing), we have no hope of helping them evolve.
So how do we help a culture evolve that only knows the fear of war and violence? By applying more fear and violence? Obviously not, but that is what our leadership would have us believe, even know all evidence is to the contrary.
And since I am not one to criticize without offering up a more effective solution, let's first evaluate our current purpose and mission...
Purpose: to bring peace to the middle east via the democratization of their governments.
Mission: to kill/capture all of the male-illiterate-Taliban that currently rule Afghanistan.
Now, do you see congruency in the mission and the purpose? And that's without getting into our various egocentric/megalomaniacal reasons.
So, it really comes down to changing our mission, and evolving our purpose. And here is exactly what they need to be...
Purpose: to balance the masculine and feminine synergies in the society of Afghanistan.
Mission: to employ the men in building a communal infrastructure, and to empower the women and children with education, while providing an effective safety & security program.Continued on the next page
