Rush Limbaugh's Health 'Blessing' Seems More Like A Curse
New Year's Day found conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh admitted to a Hawaiian hospital for chest pains, we can only assume stemmed from some sort of heart -related issue (perhaps his shrunk two sizes too small on Christmas.)
Limbaugh has stated the pain in his chest began on Wednesday afternoon, when he felt pain in his upper left chest "like I've never experienced before." However, after a series of tests, doctors have concluded nothing is wrong with 58-year old bloviator.
Of course, Limbaugh praised the medical team who cared for him (ironically, from the very state President Obama, the man Rush loves to hate on, was born) and used this situation to make the bold and idiotic statement, "I don't think there's one thing wrong with the American health care system. It is working just fine."
Sure, for you Mr. Famous guy with money and access to the best, this does not mean it works for everyone, everywhere, so how about you keep your grandiose statements to yourself.
With 2009 being dubbed the "Year of Celebrity Deaths" claiming the lives of Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze, Farrah Fawcett, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, Ed McMahon, David Carradine, Natasha Richardson, Bea Arthur and at the very end, 32-year old Brittany Murphy, one has to wonder what kind of justice there is in this world that would allow a hateful, misinformed, lumpy pile of useless rhetoric like Rush Limbaugh to escape unscathed?
I know it's vile to wish death on anyone, and certainly prior to the news of his brief, but scary brush with death, I wasn't actively wishing anything bad for Rush, I must admit though when I heard he was ill, I wasn't sad either.
Sure, go ahead think less of me if you must for wishing harm on another, but somehow Rush's miraculous recovery confirms a couple of age-old proverbs: "the more you complain, the longer God lets you live," and of course, "only the good die young."
I'd say both apply to Rush. So here's to you Mr. Limbaugh, may your heart be strong and full of hate and may you continue to deliver contemptuous rhetoric, so the good people of the world will know who to despise.
