Rick Sanchez And The Vast Left-Wing Jewish Media Cabal (Including Me)
Anyone who expected the end of racism in America when Barack Obama got elected was delusional. As it turns out, anyone who expected the end of pointless wars in faraway deserts, double-digit unemployment, seven-figure Wall Street bonuses, or the inexplicable ascendancy of Glenn Beck was delusional as well, but that's another story.
Racism is alive and well and perhaps more robust than ever. Whenever there are people out of work and refrigerators empty of food, there's going to be a ready scapegoat somewhere, and the usual suspects are never far out of reach. With Obama in the White House, it was a given that "uppity" blacks would be somebody's boogey-man, but they've fared not as badly as you might have imagined in the last two years, all except for those depictions of Obama as "The Joker," Adolph Hitler, and various farm animals, but the right's argument has been that that's no worse than was done to Dubya during his eight years. That's an interesting argument, since I'm pretty sure there's no simmering well of anti-Texan bigotry out in the hinterlands.
Muslims have fared much worse. Not a day goes by without a scare story about the creeping incursion of Sharia law into American and European culture. One can only hope these stories are overblown. I'm pretty sure there are at least half a dozen Sharia laws I break on a daily basis, not the least of which is failing to treat Muslim historical figures with proper reverence (I'm a big fan of Danish cartoonists), and any one of which could result in the loss of one or more of my most cherished appendages.
But when you're looking for reliable villains upon which to heap blame for all the problems of modern life, there's no need to look to your bench. No, when you need an explanation for pain, suffering, poverty, inequity, and the decline of civilization, you always go to your franchise player: It's the Jews' fault.Continued on the next page
