Obama The Best Boss, Says A New Poll By Adecco
Among household names, President Obama rates very high as a boss that people would like to work for—according to a poll released on Monday by Adecco, a staffing firm.
The only person who topped Obama by a margin of 2% was Oprah Winfrey. For this study they had polled 700 employees, asking them to choose 3 bosses from a list of 300. The survey was released in time for National Boss Day, which falls on next Friday.
If you do not think Obama’s 35% was impressive, contrast that with the Tea Party queen Sarah Palin’s score at 15%. The former two term President George W. Bush did not fare much better; he was selected by only 19%. Of course, the lowest percentages of votes were received by, as you might have guessed, former “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell and outgoing BP CEO Tony Hayward.
I was extremely surprised with the survey results since I had the impression from the media that Sarah Palin was the darling of the universe, adored by billions of people who doted on news of every move she makes.
I also had derived from the same media that Barack Hussein Obama, was a Kenyan born Muslim, who, despite his Harvard credentials, was not so smart after all, when you compare him with those with street smarts such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and hundreds of other right wing talk show hosts who rule the airwaves by probably a 9 to 1 ratio.
What do we expect from our bosses? I consider the ultimate test of a boss to be her/his personal integrity and whether we can trust that person. This survey restored my faith in the American people—they are after all not the lambs they are made out to be by the media.
And I personally congratulate you, the Technorati readers, for choosing this media for your information. If you want the facts, this may be one of the few remaining independent sources for you, as Technorati presents both sides of the issue without any censorship.
