MSM Advises Occupiers
While the MSM reports on the Occupy Washington DC movement, members of the movement are working with the MSM to formulate its demands and message. Does this sound like an incestuous relationship? Anyway, this revelation should not be a surprise. Proof that the MSM gives advice to the left is valuable when talking with the public and showing them how corrupt the MSM has become. How are we to believe ANYTHING the "unbiased" MSM "reports" if it is demonstrably in bed with the people/events upon which it is reporting?
Journolist 2.0 listed MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan and liberal Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi (whoever he is) as participants who gave advice. Ratigan warned occupiers about issuing demands. "The focus on simple shared principle and intent to align with all who agree with that principle is a unique strength." Taibbi encouraged occupiers to formulate some demands. He said, "I think there are a lot of people in the press who are ready to support the movement wholeheartedly, if it could articulate some specifics." So the MSM advisors are dispensing contradictory advice. What are the occupiers to do now?
Now even NBC's Brian Williams is trying to throw in his two cents worth. While the MSM has been trying to magnify the movement's impact, Williams said, "it could well turn out to be the protest of this current era."
But that's just my opinion.
