Mission Impossible? Who's Wearing Pumped up Kicks? - Page 2
"When we talk about the Google age we are talking about a new society. The rules explored--' in Jeff Jarvis' book, What Would Google Do?--Google's rules--are the rules of that society, built on connections, links, transparency, openness, publicness, listening, trust, wisdom, generosity, efficiency, markets, niches, platforms, networks, speed and abundance. The new generation and its new world view will change how we see and interact with the world and how business, government, and institutions interact with us."
So, for President Obama, "all that matters is the mission."
The President referred to Abe Lincoln and pointed out that government should be used only when the country can't do for themselves. President Lincoln was a Republican, but President Obama sites a common mission between the two.
Abe Lincoln held a school of thought that "this country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it." I think we all know that's what's in process today; not to over throw our government, but to find the common mission and work together as a team, as a unit, all for one and one for all attitude. We want to live in a world where we can believe that someone's got our back. In this 2012 State of the Union Address, President Obama seems to have our back.
We all want to live in a world where we know that EVERYONE plays by the same rules; that EVERYONE plays fair. Generation G is about having your back and not just scratching it.
President Obama says,"I will not back down, I will not go back to the way things used to be."
Don't you agree? Are you ready to join the coalition to fight for what Generation G stands for? We all need to look for the common mission and work together to make it happen. Join The Common Mission on Facebook by adding as a friend.

So, today, I feel confident that our country is headed in the right direction; a direction of change; a direction of a common mission with a "rise or fall as one unit serving one nation, leaving no one behind" attitude.
Congress....are you in?
