In the first phase, called "save-Italy", just the announcement to liberalize the taxi market has received an immediate refusal and determined opposition, and he had to withdraw the proposal and send it back to another time. Previously the face of such liberalization of the market drivers had blocked several times the traffic of the main Italian cities managing to cancel the good proposition governments to give consumers more choice and to the market more competition. But taxi drivers are not the only lobby that influences the executive and legislative power. Pharmacists and other liberal professions are categories that are very powerful. Not to mention banks, telecommunications and energy companies that monopolize the domestic market affecting prices to their advantage. The economic and productive structure of our country is historically marked by many corporations and the powerful labor union. In fact the method of conciliation and mediation has continuously scored the Italian politician, determining the absurdly slowness and the tangle of laws that are not only complicate the lives of citizens but they encourage 'cunning people', who know how to untangle the intricacies of the heavy state bureaucracy.
Each Italian citizen expects of having a more free market and more competition. The so called phase “grow-Italy” is just started at the beginning of the year.
The first signals of the major parties, such as Democratic and Freedom, have been launched in the last parliamentary voting, where the government lost over 50 supporters.
