In Praise of Judge Bolton and Her Truly Wise and King Solomonesque Decision - Page 2
Allow me, dear readers, to close here with another quote from the Great Bard: "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."
Which by the way, is exactly what the Chinese communists did in 1949 when they took control of mainland China. Killed them all, every last one of them, plus of course, all the bankers, financiers, landowners, factory owners and managers, etc.. But who's counting and keeping score anyway? Sort of reminds me of something one of America's greatest patriots and true heroines of dissent, civil disobedience and politically protected free speech said about the massive genocide committed by the Khmer Rouge, the North Vietnamese communists, the Viet Cong and the Pathet Lao thirty-five years ago. "They're socialists and it's unfair to criticize or find fault with those champions of the people and the downtrodden masses, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseam.' I am here, of course, both citing and paraphrasing that truly great American patriot, Jane Fonda.
But back to the lawyers. Only kidding - we really shouldn't kill all the lawyers. But perhaps the least we could do, is put them all in stockades like they used to do in the early days of colonial America, and place signs on them which would read: "I am an ambulance-chasing, lowlife, money-grubbing, unscrupulous, dirt ball, sleaze-oid, parasitic, bloodsucking, scumbag shyster, enemy of the people, etc." I mean, geeze, ain't that the least we can do? I mean, is that really asking too much?
