DNC: Democrats Claim 4.5 Million New Jobs Created By Obama - Page 2
Job creation and employment numbers have always been counted on a net basis. At least until the Obama administration, who counts jobs created while completely ignoring jobs lost. It's the same thing as a corporation counting revenue without counting expenses. You get a very distorted reality.
Never before has an American President, a presidential administration or a political party counted job creation in this manner. The claim of 4.5 million new jobs is deliberately dishonest and designed to mislead the American people into believing that Obama is doing a better job on the economy than he really is. The reality is that this couldn't be further from the truth.
The Democrats, themselves, gave it away in the way they kept repeating it. Their theory, it seems, was to repeat the claim of 4.5 million new jobs enough times for people to begin to believe it. They had ample reason to believe it would work in that they are usually aided in this effort by most of the mainstream media, who typically carry Obama's water. In that the Democratic Party is perpetrating this claim as an institutional lie, by continually repeating the claim that Obama created 4.5 million new jobs is a heinous attempt to hijack the electorate by deliberately misleading voters.
Claim as they will that Obama has created 4.5 million new jobs, the truth is that Obama lost 5 million private sector jobs during the same reporting period. The net - and real - result is that Barack Obama has presided over a net job loss of a half million private sector jobs.
It's time for Barack Obama to tell the truth to the American people. If he truly believes his policies are best for America, be should be honest about those policies and about his record. Obfuscating either simply calls attention to the fact that he's hiding the truth.
