I started my career in the editorial field almost by accident. I read a book titled "Proof It!" and decided that proofreading was something I could do well and would enjoy. After mastering the fundamentals, I got a job as a proofreader at a book production company in Danbury, Connecticut. There I honed my skills and came away with a greater appreciation for the intricacies of the English language. Upon returning to Massachusetts, I worked as a copy editor at CPS Direct, a now-defunct marketing firm. It was the beginning of a nearly 10-year stretch of work in advertising and marketing, a journey that took me through some of the biggest and most well-known agencies in the country. From there, I made my way through all sorts of industries, serving as a senior-level editor at various companies throughout the greater Boston area. I was copy editor for the short-lived and ill-fated Gene Simmons Tongue Magazine, the eclectic New York Spirit Magazine, and several manuscripts that went on to be published novels. I was named Proofreader of the Year for 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. I've written a number of short stories, and with the G10 Writer’s Group am also a co-author of six books: The Artifact: An Anthology; Keys: Unlocking the Universe; Under a Vanishing Moon; Doomed: Tales of the Last Days; Therapy Sucks; and Love Is a Many Splintered Thing. I am a co-founder and managing partner of Solidus Editorial Solutions.
