The man behind BobMcCarty.com is — drum roll please — Bob McCarty. More than 25 years ago, Bob went to college with Garth Brooks. Same classes. Same teachers. Same degree. During the years that followed, Bob served as an Air Force officer, a political campaign manager, a technology sales consultant and public relations guru. Notably, he was named TIME’s 2006 Person of the Year and, in 2010, was named a Hewitt Award Nominee by Andrew Sullivan of “The Atlantic.” Today, Bob spends most of his time researching topics, writing about them and publishing those writings. When he’s not writing online, he’s working as an author. Bob’s first published book, Three Days In August: A U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight For Military Justice, chronicles the life story and wrongful conviction of Sgt. 1st Class Kelly A. Stewart, a highly-decorated Green Beret combat veteran. It’s available at most online booksellers. His next book, “The CLAPPER MEMO,” is due out fall 2012. In it, Bob connects the dots between a memo signed several years ago by then-Undersecretary of Defense (Intelligence) James R. Clapper Jr. — now our nation’s top intelligence official — and the deaths of dozens of Americans in Afghanistan at the hands of our so-called “allies” in the Afghan National Security Force. Bob is available for media and blogger interviews.
