Asian Destinations Becoming Increasingly Popular
Travel search data shows that travel to Asian destinations is rapidly becoming extremely popular among United States travelers. Skyscanner, a travel search site that compares flight prices for over 600 airlines, shows that eight of the ten most popular travel destinations are located in the Far East.
Paris, Rome and London are still at the top of the list for most searched destinations, but it is interesting to note that Shanghai has seen a 234 percent increase in searches. Other Eastern destinations, including Tokyo, Taipei, Beijing, are seeing a three fold increase in 2010 as compared to 2009.
Surprisingly Eastern Europe has become another popular destination with Moscow, Russian taking the seventh spot and Kiev, Ukrainian, eighth.
