Alternatives Energy Sources are Beginning to Take Off - Page 3
Because of all these concerns as well as my interests, I was happy to read that things are really beginning to look up in innovation and invention — Solar, Wind, Hydrogen, and other types of alternative, clean, renewable energy sources.
Below are just a few that I saw at the website CleanTechnica today:
And that's just cherry picking some from the first 2 pages on CleanTechnica. They have a great site — but they are just one website out of MANY that are reporting on these alternative energy sources and solutions.
And these articles didn't even touch on wind power and hydrogen, fuel cells, or some other solar and wind innovations.
Or other possibilities including energy conservation or energy efficiency. OK, I heard that. Why does everyone seems to guffaw when people talk about energy conservation or energy efficiency?
We have already seen electrical needs go down to some degree just from people wanting to keep their bills more manageable due to the down economy — well that is energy conservation, and could even be called a mild form of energy efficiency.
But just like putting one's loose change into a 5-10 gallon water jar leads to a lot of money over time, so can energy conservation/efficiency really make a difference. Pennies do make dollars even if you only save them one at a time.
I am very excited about all this innovation — something is bound to hit the wall and stick, don't you think? It really looks like we may not be far away from having some realistic and hopefully more affordable alternatives very soon.
