America Celebrating September as the National Yoga Month
Yoga is considered a great force to build both mental and physical strength. In a bid to attract more people towards yoga, making them aware of yoga benefits, The Department of Health and Human Services has declared September as National Yoga Month.
According to Taruni, marketing manager with The Atman Group, a leading yoga certification provider in Los Angeles, people are taking yoga positively and are willing to join yoga classes for fitness, and peace of mind. With the hectic lifestyle people hardly get time for fitness, yoga is one of the best workouts which increase both physical and mental strength.
Yoga has undergone a positive change in last decade. People enjoy yoga and some yoga students even try to make a career in yoga training. According to a recent survey, large numbers of celebrities have included yoga in their fitness regime. The United States Army has also started using yoga as a tool to keep the soldiers fit, and focused.
Students and teachers from the University of Memphis, are promoting yoga. Nancy Shield, a senior sociology major, practices yoga regularly for mental relaxation and building muscular power.
Yoga is becoming more popular, and should be included in our lives for good health and fitness.
