Talkin Bout the Good Ol Days...
So you were talkin' about the "good ol days"....every person has talked about the "good ol days" at one time or another. I mean... they were the best of times....well...they could have been some of the worst of times, but they were definitely the best of times! Take a walk down the corridor of friendship and connections and remember the crazy foolishness, yet the age of learning to look to the future in hope of even better times. What really did those times represent? Who was there? What were you doing? Was it money or was it the spirit of the time?
The "good ol days" are made up of a bunch of kindered spirits connecting on the journey of life. It was a time, well...that was just like Dicken's Tale of Two Cities.... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way"
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday this year, I am most thankful for the "good ol days". I mean really....the stories we all have about the "good ol days"....are full of life, full of S*!%, full of freedom. We were free to just have fun and let loose and be the fun loving beings we were created to be.
No one really believed that life was gonna be hard. We all believed we were stronger, smarter and had the vigor of a super hero to change the world. Then....some events happen and change the course....those kindred spirits move in different directions and we are faced to move forward with out our "baseball bunch", our "B3 crew", our "collegiate roommates", our "Bunko group" or the like. Many times we find new kindred spirits to connect with...but...they never end up being like the "good ole days". Many times....it feels like we won't ever find the "good ole days" again....but....just recall, download and relive those days in memories or hey....connections through Facebook, a phone call, a letter or a holiday card. It might never be the same, but those times can always be relived and that energy will never die, as energy can never be destroyed.Continued on the next page
