The TV Czar's Emmy Ballot: Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series - Page 2
Zosia Mamet- Mamet’s Shoshanna always seems like she is from an entirely different show than the rest of the cast of Girls. Still, the ability of her character to float in and out of scenes without really damaging the flow of the “usual” show is very well done. Supposedly, Lena Dunham didn’t plan on Shoshanna being a recurring character until Mamet blew her away. Now, it’s easy to see how Mamet did it.
Aubrey Plaza- A lot of Parks and Recreation favorites play to the same tune. It’s always hilarious, but it’s always fascinating to see characters grow and how the actors handle the change in their character. We got to watch it unfold this season with Plaza’s April. She was still her deadpan, morose self, but she began to grow up a little this season. Her famous scene with Ron where she tells him that she “wants to not do things… like you taught me” was one of my favorite moments of the season.
There’s my top six for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Who are your picks?
