Larry King Tells the Truth in New Book - Page 2
King’s voice is so ingrained it viewers’ minds that the reader can almost hear King reading the book in his or her head. The stories are interesting and funny and the few opinions and points King does make are well made.
King writes about Piers Morgan taking over his timeslot, “Naturally Piers asked me to come on the show when he was out in Los Angeles-and I was happy to do so. There was a slight problem. I was scheduled to coach my son’s Little League team the day that he wanted me on. So I could only do half an hour before leaving for practice.”
He did the show and got to his son’s practice. “When I arrived to coach my kids it was not yet seven o’clock. Piers was still on. What I realized was that there was not another place on earth that I wanted be at that moment more than on that Little League field.”
The book would make a good read for those that have loyally followed King over the years or for those that only tuned in to the show occasionally. It is well written and packed full of interesting entertainment history from back to front.
