GETTING HOUSED: Big Brother's Surprise Eviction and Your New HoH
I have been avoiding Showtime’s After Dark, or reading any information online about this week in the house. I only follow-up on certain days because I don’t want PoV ruined, and since the event actually takes place on Friday or Saturday, it doesn’t leave a big window.
That being said, after seeing that nominations stayed the same following the PoV ceremony, I watched a little After Dark and even backtracked a day. What I found made me really, really happy.
First, it was clear that Brendon and Rachel were convinced Brendon was going home. His plan to be a dick and to dick his way out of the house was working. No one liked him, so we got to see Rachel practice, Brendon flood her with love, and Rachel thank him for his sacrifice.
We also got to see the rest of the house say how great it's going to be to get rid of Rachel. This was a lock. This was also a guaranteed explosion come eviction night.
Sure enough, CBS hammed up how Rachel thought she was staying and shows the rest of the house leaning towards evicting her. Try as they might, however, and no matter how badly I wanted it, the fireworks weren’t there. I read that Enzo may have tipped them off, which wouldn’t sit well with the Brigade.
Rachel handled it with class, saying the right things to Julie on her way out. She was right when she harped on the fact that the houseguests were scared of her. She is a solid competitor and could have run away with this if she played a little more with her head and not her hair. Brendon definitely got in the way.
In voting for Rachel, Britney said, “I vote for tequila-vomit-hundred dollar bill Rachel.“ Her goodbye message was of course my favorite as well, “Rachel, I will miss playing with your hair extensions and pretending to be you. 'Who wants to see my jury house!? Tequila! Wooooh!’” Things like that are why Britney won’t win and why I want to move into her inner-circle of friends.Continued on the next page
