Living with Skyrim - Page 2
An effective way of time tracking your total hours spent in-game is by monitoring the times displayed on the loading screen; save your game through the menu and then to the ‘load game’ screen, a total hours in game time will be displayed next you’re your last saved game. Set goals for your session on Skyrim, choose which of your active ‘quests’ you wish to finish off in your sitting and stick to your list. Playing the game in shorter sessions is also beneficial for your in-game experience; it can help to prioritize your affairs in Skyrim and cut down on time aimlessly wondering around the miles of barren land.
Be sure to spend time with family and friends, one of the worst effects a large immersive game can have on gamers is cutting into their social time. If you have plans, stick to them; never allow a game to take priority over real life activities. Also, ensure you’re getting plenty of sleep; late night gaming sessions are the easiest way of spending hours on RPGs without realizing, so set an alarm or a time to head to bed and stick to it religiously.
Skyrim is without a doubt one of the best single player RPGs to date, the enthralling world is a true pleasure to explore and navigate. Just remember, you can have too much of a good thing; never compromise your real life priorities to progress within the confines of Tamriel!
