Xave's Faves: Uniformed Deputies Brawl; Hilarity Ensues
DISCLAIMER: The following are re-posts from the anonymous police message board for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office at PBSOTalk. The original authors are unknown unless specifically credited, and no statement is made as to their truthfulness or accuracy. The opinions and statements made in the "Xave's Faves" section are presented for general interest/entertainment only, and do not reflect the opinions or ideas of Xavier Onassis.
In other words, items in this section may be gossip, nonsense, BS, unsubstantiated rumor and/or flat out lies, and I don't know who wrote them. I put them up here because I found them enjoyable to read and thought you might, too.
NOTE: Some posts were originally typed in "anonymizer" style - all in caps without punctuation. This is done to prevent the author from being identified by his/her writing style. Posters have been explicitly told if they are caught posting to these boards they will be terminated, so anonymity is key. I have edited minimally, and only for readability, i.e., standard case, my punctuation, spelling correction. No content has been changed. My notes/clarifications in brackets. — Ed.

NewsWriter: "What do you get when you take two on-duty deputies, one a "Gauger's Pet" [Gauger is the much-hated right-hand man of Palm Beach County's deeply despised Sheriff Ric Bradshaw] and one a "senior," put them both in uniform in a parking lot in the middle of a populated strip mall, give them a reason to fight and a patrol car to damage?
You get an expensive trip to the hospital for kidney damage, a broken finger and $900 in patrol car damage, all at the taxpayers' expense. Most of all, though, you get entertainment for PBSOTalk [and Xave's Faves!] readers. Most of all.
This one has it all. Slacking deputies, mutual combat, agency embarrassment and even one deputy screaking how he's "Calling Gauger" to have the other transferred! Must be nice to be a Friend of Gauger. Oh - let's not forget about the fine folks in the parking lot yelling at them how they are calling the police. Oh, and discipline? Ha ha ha... what do you expect when a FOG [Friend of Gauger] is involved? Folks, it just doesn't get much funnier."The powers that be in Palm Beach County must really hate the PBSOtalk site, because they don't just write the news, they post the internal affairs paperwork.
