Debris - Issue 4
It seems like this might be the end of this engaging series. What made it so charming was the stylish artwork and deliberate pacing. A lot of that was missing in this issue as a lot of story was omitted and the ending was rushed in ways that were unclear because of the art.
Which is a shame as the characters deserved more time to get to their natural conclusion. Still, the cover was great and parts of the interior looked good.
Score: 8 out of 10
Invincible - Issue 96
Interpersonal relationships are the theme of this issue. Healing is just as prevalent as secrets are in this conclusion to a long-running storyline. And it is a sudden ending to battle. The conflict wasn't as emotionally charged as the prior acts tot his story. Still, it was mostly satisfying. The art is fine, as is the coloring.
Score: 8.5 out of 10
Prophet - Issue 30
This first thing noticed was the lack of recap in this issue, unlike the prior. That had been very helpful. The first part of the story was outstanding as it told a full tale and conveyed quite a bit of history in a short time. The next section ruins it by pulling the reader back into Planet Liefeld. Still, overall it is a strange and beautiful story that should be rewarded for its imagination. The cover and interior art are equally awesome.Continued on the next page
