Australian Businesses Go Online
Australian businesses are not online because they believe it is too expensive or too complicated, and simply have no time. However, for a Web site for Australian companies to be effective, this is based on the input of keywords that potential customers would be using in the search engines for the investigation of a company. One of the main benefits of creating a site using MYOB Atlas is that it "automatically optimizes" in Google.
The Local Find Test Of Australian Businesses
Google and accounting software provider MYOB have announced an initiative to get 50,000 Australian businesses online for free. "Getting Aussie Business Online" on www.gettingbusinessonline.com.au aims to provide free websites for small businesses in Australia using the MYOB Atlas tool for creating the website structure.
Local Find decided to test whether the small Australian businesses websites would be “automatically optimised” on Google and found. Local Find checked the very first customer's website details to see if in fact this was the case. The customer featured by Google and MYOB was Randall's Excavation & Earthmoving.
The Fundamentals For Australian Businesses Online Are Being Missed
Testing the first Australian Businesses online with this initiative: RANDALL'S EXCAVATIONS & EARTHMOVING PTY LTD - Excavations and earthmoving services in Sydney.
The fundamentals of any Australian Businesses website should be that it is locally found using local search results. Customers are looking for local businesses so Local Find performed a search for "excavations sydney" following the name of the website since as you can see above the word "Excavations" is appearing twice in the website name as well as the word "Sydney" which will allow for a local identifier to be used by Google and we found the following Google local search results.
The Local Find test showed that the business tested was not found in the top local search results performed using Google for "excavations sydney" as the search term which Local Find believes to be a fundamental search for the small business being tested to be found by local customers. The business Local Find tested was located on Google on Page 16 of the search results but actually listed under the following URL instead of the provided URL from Google and MYOB.Continued on the next page
