Facebook and Google to Redesign New Campuses - Page 2
A design to cater thousands of employees around a 1.1 million sq. foot campus is what Google has on its mind. Employee happiness is what these companies focus on, and that is why companies never stop upping the ante for their employees in order to provide excellent working conditions.
Google says the structure will be the largest U.S complex with radiant heating and will include environmental factors such as where the wind blows and where the sun rises and so on. Google is also breaking ground on a 42 acre campus named Bayview next door to its Googleplex in Mount View, California.
It’s reported that this campus will have nine structures, each being four stories high. The buildings, several of which have green roofs including one with an alfresco cafe, will be linked by bridges and look like bent rectangles make way for courtyards. And it does not stop here.
Google is also planning something else. It will also be building an $82 million private airport terminal in San Jose, California, to handle its business jets. Google is also planning to open standalone shops in big cities. Their idea with this is to give people easy access and hands on experience on gadgets like Chromebook , Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 Tablet.
