Google + Becomes More ‘Local’ - Page 2
What does this mean for local business owners?
I’ve said it over and over again that every local business should be on Google+, in addition to utilizing the integrated Google business tools that make sense for their specific business. Google is the most used search engine, so you want your local business to show up there and rank high; and one great way to do that is to be listed in Google Places, on Zagat, etc. in addition to having a Google+ account you’re engaging in. As you continue to engage within Google+, the more you’ll build your ‘Circle’ and network, which means the more those within your network will find you within Google search results with Google’s new “Local” integration.
I would suggest that any local business work with an Internet Marketer who understands and keeps up with the changes and new products Google offers. They frequently change their algorithms, offer new products, and make changes such as those discussed within this post as they put a larger emphasis on “local”. That’s not to say that the other search engines aren’t important or significant, as they are, and I suggested an integrated approach so your local business ranks high throughout the majors (Google, Yahoo, Bing).
