Marketing Thingy was started just about two years ago, in July of 2009. It has a singular purpose: to help de-mystify marketing and advertising issues for small to midsize companies. You'll find entries about advertising practices, marketing theory, social media and even some real-time geo-politics (as long as there's a marketing thread to connect.) As mentioned above, Marketing Thingy is the perfect blog for smaller and midsize companies who are trying to figure out marketing, or navigate a relationship with an agency. Most posts are educational in nature, rather than opinion pieces...the goal is to always educate and inform whenever possible. The author (Nader Ashway) is also a columnist for another publication, The Journal of Financial Advertising and Marketing, published by the Gramercy Institute.
