This is a parenting blog written by a child psychologist/family therapist and an award-winning children's book author. We are bringing our separate professional backgrounds to our parenting, with a focus on courage. Courage is the mechanism by which all other virtues are activated, so our kids need not just physical courage, but emotional, moral, intellectual, social, and spiritual courage as well if they are to have full, whole-hearted lives and develop to their full potential. We offer traditional tales, "courage challenges," "5-minute courage workouts," inspiring true stories, and cutting edge psychology research to help parents raise children who have lots of courage. We teach them how to "grab some lion's whiskers."
