It’s not war, it’s just automation
http://www.vladville.com/2008/06/its-not-war-its-just-automa...Phew. Thank god. Just in time too, now I don’t have to study for my Windows 2008 technical certifications because some damn Injun is going to go stand in the line and take it before I do. You’ve guessed it, I am blaming Vijay for coming to America on July 5th and thats why I am not going to be training or taking the test. Phew, that saved me a lot of time. Pass the Cheetos. Excuse me sonny.. Now that I’m done with my brief moment of insanity -

Device Software Development Platform
http://douggaff.blogspot.comof gPhones." Apparently the gadget-hungry among us just wanted a sexy competitor to the iPhone, even though there are already several reasonable contenders and one knock-off. After the announcement, there was the usual talk about vaporware and who was or wasn't a part of the alliance. However, things got a lot more exciting today with the public release of the Android SDK. Yes, Google is doing things in reverse order...putting the platform out first and then letting the mobile devices follow.

David Overton's Blog
http://uksbsguy.com/blogs/dovertonI saw Vijays’s post on SBS 2008 RC0 Installation Walkthrough (which points to this post – walkthrough) and while this article has much good information, I had grabbed the install process in screen shot again :-) There were a few interesting points that I thought I would share too:

SBS/EBS 2008 slides inc. pricing
http://www.bmsnet.co.uk/blog/?p=151MS PALS meeting brings together in one place an overview of the new products inc. pricing in US Dollars. Interesting that SBS 2008 is more expensive than the equivalent 2003 version. Looks like the pricing for EBS is aimed very much at the mid market. CALs are now

Andys Techie Blog
http://parkesy.wordpress.comSo how am i linking this to the SBS pricing announcement? When we got to the bar Vijay was checking his phone when he noticed the pricing announcement details which was a great place to start the after event chat (Vijay mentions it here) So what do i think? I’m really not sure. Once thing I’ve learnt in recent years is that dollar amount pricing announcements have little bearing on the price we’ll see in the UK Also the announcements were only for retail pricing. No details
