Why is it that, even after more than 25 years of (even vaguely) generally affordable computers/computing, there are still people who think it’s acceptable to send emails written all in capitals? And particularly to do so in a business context. …

Icy
http://www.dummies-for-destruction.co.uk/random/index.php/?p=5124For the first time this year, I’ve had to scrape the ice off the car windscreen before I could go to work. Well OK, for “scrape” read “Use the heated windscreen, and hot air blowers”, but the concept is the same.…

One Month To Go
http://www.dummies-for-destruction.co.uk/random/index.php/?p=5100In one month’s time, my birthday will be here again, and this year (, Matthew,) I’m going to be 37. That means I need to write out the next progress document for that Five Year Plan, and how things are going. The long road to recovery
http://www.catchthat.net/?p=4658s been living in England for a few years, without so much as a visit from myself. This was corrected; myself and a couple of others flew to Manchester, and TLG joined by road. Which was nice. Some notes: There seems to be something of a theme on a couple of blogs about seeing Wanted, so I got involved in that. And it was a perfectly good popcorn flick, made all the better by unexpected swearing from the esteemed Morgan Freeman. I recommend.

Shouldn’t have to say anything
http://www.catchthat.net/?p=4590t see your hands. I can tell you that out of the people I’ve spoken to on the phone this evening, 100% expected something of a rant. I don’t think that there’s too much to say that hasn’t been said already, though. But when did that ever stop me? Ministers are to consider plans for a database of electronic information holding details of every phone call and e-mail sent in the UK, it has emerged. The plans, reported in the Times, are at an early stage

Tabula Rasa
http://www.dragonsmind.co.ukAlthough I’m signed up for RSS feeds, newsletters and carrier pigeon notification of all new news regarding everything Nine Inch Nails, I need to offer thanks, praise and burnt offerings to Lyle for letting me know about the recently released, freely downloadabubble album from Trent and the boys: The Slip. This is the second time this year that NIN have given away music for nothing, the first being the 36 track instrumental collection
