And this came, of course, after Wilkey's email attack on Richards culminated in his own grammatical malfunction: "I hope our members think long and hard about re-election (sic) some members of this leadership group," Wilkey wrote.

That Money, Honey: Kentucky Donor Drama
http://whatsrequiredky.com/2008/05/08/that-money-honey-kentu...dig up and who has millions of dollars to hurl at that big ‘ol corrupt machine? In any event, it’s curious that the hatchet is coming out this early–all I can say is, Mitch must be worried. Aside from that, we have news from the LHL that the donor database for the presidential primary is up– it’s worth noting that even though he’s getting whomped in the polls here, Barack Obama is still the leading fundraiser in the state–among ALL candidates. Anybody found anything interesting?

Wednesday Update Dept. Hillary Squeaks By Edition
http://pageonekentucky.com/2008/05/07/wednesday-update-dept-...Stumbo, in a discussion about supporting people we (he/us/Kentuckians) know, said, “We’re a very clannish state in a lot of ways.” We’re just glad Alessi didn’t use the word that starts with a ‘k’ in Stumbo’s quote. Clannish. Really? [PolWatchers] If you missed the debate between Second Congressional District Democrats David Boswell and Reid Haire, go watch it. Keep a bucket nearby for vomiting purposes and remember: it could be worse. [KET]

Well, That Was Exciting: The State Of The Race, On Wednesday Morning
http://whatsrequiredky.com/2008/05/07/well-that-was-exciting...s general election time. It’s game time. Am I upset that I won’t have a candidate working my old Kentucky home and West Virginia back and forth for the next two weeks? Yes, but I’m a political junkie, and with the polls in the shape they are, I can read the writing on the wall. Finally, finally, we know–well, we have known, but now the media is admitting–who the nominee is. Bring on McCain. Technorati Tags: Presidential Primary,
