    http://blogs.gnome.org/bolsh/2008/04/28/upgrading-to-ubunty-hardy-a-typical-dist-upgrade-so-far/

open source community, and compromises need to be made from both sides. The result in many cases is the creation of a third way picking elements from both contexts, like maemo today. How open is maemo? How open could and should it be? The debate about Sun trying to do the right thing has jumped to maemo and is evolving interestingly. Nokia is also trying to do the right thing, but this is a topic for another day. I just wanted to share an old text I wrote five years ago and never got the time to translate to English:

From Dave Neary’s nicely written blog… to Theodore, I’m not at Sun anymore. I left 7 months ago, while still in my first term on the OGB, and I was re-elected as a community member who does not work for Sun. I did drink the kool-aid for 4.5 years

    - Cool. A web based tool for easy SMF manifest creation. Simply enter the various bits of information, generate the XML file and import it into SMF. Much quicker and easier than writing it all out by hand. Sun: Trying to do the right thing - It's nice to see someone actually seeing things from Sun's point of view, without actually being a Sun employee. Well done. Sun looks to free up the rest of Java - Nice one. Ultimate HTML Color HEX Code List by COLOURlovers
